On April 30, All China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU) announced the winners of 2014 “National Labor Award”, “National Labor Medal” and “Pioneer Workers”. Academician He Jifeng, Dean of School of Software, ECNU, was awarded 2014 “National Labor Medal”.

On the morning of April 30, Han Zheng, the Communist Party Chief and member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, and other municipal leaders met Academician He and other representatives of model and advanced workers in Friendship Hall at Shanghai Exhibition Center.

Prof. He has presided over 10 national research projects, and has been a chief scientist for three times in National 863 Program, National 973 Program and major research project of National Natural Science Foundation of China in sequence. He has been focusing on education and research in cutting-edge technologies in computer software for over 50 years.

According to statistics, nearly half of the winners of 2014 “National Labor Medal” are pioneers in technology innovation. And during ECNU’s 63 years’ history, nearly 30 have won “model workers” of different levels.
