The delegation of Palgrave Macmillan and Nature visits the University.
On June 18, President Chen Qun met the delegation of Palgrave Macmillan andNatureon Zhongbei Campus. The delegation was led by Sam Burridge, Managing Director of Palgrave Macmillan, and Nick Campbell, Executive Editor ofNature.

Chen first expressed welcome to the delegation. During the meeting, both sides reached agreement on holding regular lectures in ECNU, providing the University with language training and consultation for scientific research, as well as co-holding international symposiums.
According to Chen, ECNU has made great achievements in the scientific research of physics, chemical and life sciences. He expressed hope thatNatureand Palgrave Macmillan would pay more attention to ECNU Scientists’ work and could provide instructions to them on how to make their research works published and noticed by top-tier journals . Both sides also discussed the possibilities of co-publishing works on education and humanities.

After the meeting, Nick Campbell, Executive Editor of Nature delivered a speech titled “Nature and You: A Guide for Researchers for Getting Their Research Published and Noticed” to more than 200 ECNUers. In the speech, Campbell introduced how to make research works published inNatureand other top-tier journals, and made a summary of the open access options that Nature Publishing Group offers and the factors researchers should consider when selecting a journal to which to submit their paper.
