Professor Xu has published the monograph "Research on China's Energy Efficiency Issues" and edited the undergraduate textbook "Warehouse Management and Inventory Control". He has authored over 20 papers in journals such as "China Population, Resources and Environment", "Science of Science and Management of S.& T.", and "International Journal of Climate Change Strategies and Management", with multiple papers cited more than 50 times and a total citation count exceeding 3,100. In recent years, he has led more than 20 research projects funded by the Jiangsu Provincial Social Science Foundation, Jiangsu Provincial Federation of Social Sciences, Philosophy and Social Science Research Program of the Department of Education, Suzhou Soft Science Program, and Suzhou Social Science Research Program. His work has been awarded one first-place and one second-place provincial-level prize, as well as one third-place municipal-level prize.
