Training Course on Regional Logistics System Optimization Technology for Developing Countries

At 15:30 p.m. on August 28, 2013, the Opening Ceremony of the 2013 “Training Course on Regional Logistics System Optimization Technology for Developing Countries” sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and undertaken by our school was held in the Lecture Hall of Business College at Shihu Campus, and it was presided over by Wu Huifang, Director of International Office.

The 23 officials and technicians of environmental protection from 14 countries such as Panama, Mauritius and Georgia participated in this year’s training. This training will last for 30 days from August 26 to September 24. This is the 21th foreign-aid training course undertaken by our school and it is also the first time our school has undertaken the training course on logistics.

Deputy Dean Shen Yaoliang made a speech on behalf of our school and extended a warm welcome to trainees’ coming to China, to Suzhou, and to Suzhou University of Science and Technology. He introduced the general situation of our school’s undertaking of foreign-aid training and the basic information of this training and our school, and also wished a complete success of this training course. Dean Wang Zhongjun of Business College delivered a speech on behalf of academic units, extended a warm welcome to each trainee, and introduced the main teaching contents of this training course. Trainee Mr. Faaofo Chris from Samoa gave a speech on behalf of all trainees. Director Yang Chuanming and Professor Shao Juping from the Logistics Department of Business College will serve as the teacher and manager of this training course.
